Hey fellow high schoolers! I'm researching college admissions, and I was wondering what the standardized test requirements are for the University of Washington? Are they test-optional? Thanks for the help!
Hello! The University of Washington (UW) has decided to continue with their test-optional policy, even in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. This policy means that for the 2024-2025 application cycle, submitting SAT or ACT scores is not required for admission.
You can still choose to submit your scores if you feel they'll strengthen your application, but not submitting scores will not negatively impact your chances. There can be particular instances where including a score could be a good idea, though. Do remember that it's important to keep an eye on potential changes to UW's testing policy in future application cycles, but for 2024-2025, test scores will not be required. Good luck with your college applications!
