What ACT score do I need for University of Utah?

Hi everyone! I'm planning on applying to the University of Utah, but I'm not sure what ACT score I should be aiming for. What's considered a competitive score for this school? Any advice would be appreciated!

Hello! The University of Utah, like many universities, doesn't have a strict cutoff for ACT scores. However, to get a general idea of the score range you should be aiming for, you can look at the middle 50% ACT score range of admitted students. For University of Utah, this range is between 22-29. This means that 25% of admitted students scored below a 22, while another 25% scored above a 29.

To be competitive in the admissions process, it's a good idea to aim for a score close to or above the higher end of the middle 50% range, so around 28 or 29. Keep in mind that the admissions process is holistic, and a strong ACT score alone won't guarantee admission. Make sure to balance your application with solid grades, extracurricular involvement, and a well-rounded application overall.

Just remember that while having a good ACT score is helpful, it's important to focus on other aspects of your application as well. Good luck with your college application process!
