Choosing which AP scores to send to colleges?

When I apply to colleges, can I choose which of my AP scores to send, or do I have to send them all? I'm a bit worried about how some of my scores will reflect on my application.

You actually don't need to send your official AP scores to colleges when you apply. Instead, you'll only need to self-report your AP scores on your college application, usually through the Common Application or other application platforms, and you can choose which scores to include. Typically, students highlight their best scores and leave out any lower ones they feel don't accurately represent their abilities.

Remember that AP scores play a relatively minor role in the college admissions process compared to factors like your GPA, course rigor, and standardized test scores. Colleges are more interested in how you performed in the actual AP classes, rather than the single exam you took at the end of the year.

If you're admitted and choose to attend a college, you would then send your official AP scores to that institution for potential college credit or placement, depending on the college's policies. At this point, your admission status is secure, and the college will just use your scores to determine your eligibility for credit or advanced placement in specific courses.

In summary, don't stress too much about your AP scores in the admissions process; focus on presenting your best scores on your college applications and know that your course performance matters much more.
