AP Physics C - Does it count as 2 APs?

Hey everyone! I found out that AP Physics C is split into Mechanics and Electricity & Magnetism. Does taking the class count as 2 APs, or does it only count as one for college applications?

Hey there! AP Physics C is indeed divided into two separate courses: Mechanics and Electricity & Magnetism. While they may be taught in one combined class in some high schools, they are still considered two distinct AP courses with separate AP exams for each. So, when it comes to college applications, taking both sections of AP Physics C will count as two APs. This can be beneficial in demonstrating your academic rigor and commitment to learning advanced subject material in the eyes of college admissions officers. Just make sure to perform well in both courses and on their respective exams to showcase your mastery of the subjects. Good luck!
