Texas State SAT score requirements

I'm thinking of applying to Texas State University, but I'm not sure if my SAT score is within their acceptable range. What are their minimum or average SAT score requirements to get admitted?

Texas State University has a test-optional policy that applies to students in the top 75% of their class. If you are in the bottom 25%, you must submit scores. Otherwise, you may choose to submit scores if you feel that they boost your chances of admission. If you decide to submit your scores, keep in mind that the middle 50% range for admitted students is typically around 1080-1170 for the SAT.

However, it's essential to remember that colleges like Texas State evaluate students holistically, which means they consider factors beyond test scores, such as your GPA, extracurricular activities, and essays. Thus, even if your SAT score falls outside of that range, you may still be considered based on other aspects of your application.

If you feel that your SAT score does not accurately represent your abilities or you think that other parts of your application are stronger, you can choose not to submit your score. Instead, focus on showcasing your academic strengths, personal qualities, and extracurricular achievements through other parts of your application, such as your GPA, essay, and letters of recommendation.
