Colby College SAT requirements?

Hey guys, I'm working on my college list and I'm trying to figure out if Colby College requires (or super scores) the SAT. Can anyone help me out with this info? Thanks in advance!

As of the 2024-2025 application cycle, Colby College has adopted a test-optional policy. This policy means that submitting SAT scores is not required for admissions, and you can choose whether or not to include your scores as part of your application. If you feel that your SAT scores accurately represent your academic abilities and would strengthen your application, you can include them. If not, you can apply without submitting your test scores.

For more detailed guidance on how to navigate test-optional policies, check out this blog post from CollegeVine: https://blog.collegevine.com/does-test-optional-mean-test-optional/. After all, Colby is quite a selective institution, which means you generally want to showcase your strengths in as many ways as possible, so submitting an SAT (or ACT) score can still be a good idea for many students.

Regarding super scoring, if you choose to submit your SAT scores, Colby College does practice super scoring. This practice means that they will consider your highest section scores from multiple test dates and create a composite "super score" to use in their evaluation process. To take advantage of this policy, you need to submit all your test scores, and Colby will super score them for you.

Good luck with your college applications!
