What are the average SAT scores accepted at Texas A&M?

Hey y'all! I'm starting to look into colleges and Texas A&M caught my eye. Can anyone help me understand what SAT scores they typically accept? I want to see if I'm in the ballpark. Thanks in advance!

Hi there! Texas A&M is a great school, and it's a good idea to get a sense of their average SAT scores to gauge your chances of being accepted. The middle 50% SAT score range for admitted students at Texas A&M is usually between 1140–1380. This statistic means that 25% of students score below 1140, 50% score between 1140 and 1380, and 25% score above 1380.

Keep in mind that these numbers are just a general benchmark, and the admissions process takes other factors into account such as your GPA, extracurricular activities, essays, and leadership experiences. While having a competitive SAT score is certainly helpful, it's also important to focus on developing a well-rounded application to improve your overall chances.

The essays can be a great way to distinguish yourself from even other academically accomplished applicants.

Finally, it's worth noting that Texas A&M is officially test-optional, so you actually are not required to submit an SAT (or ACT) score. However, you're smart to still be thinking about target SAT scores, as there can still be instances where including a standardized test score with your application can be a good idea. Best of luck with your college search and application process!
