Liberty University SAT policy

Hi all, I'm applying to Liberty University and I'm a bit confused about their SAT policy. Are SAT scores required for admission? If so, what's the average SAT score for admitted students?

Hello! Liberty University has a test-optional admissions policy, which means that you can choose whether or not to submit your SAT scores as part of your application. If you feel that your SAT scores accurately represent your academic abilities and would strengthen your application, you can submit them.

However, if you believe that your SAT scores do not accurately reflect your potential, you can choose not to submit them, and your application will be evaluated based on other elements such as your GPA, high school transcript, extracurricular activities, and essays.

As for the average SAT score of admitted students, recent data indicates that the middle 50% range for accepted students is approximately 1020-1220. This means that 25% of admitted students scored below 1020, and 25% scored above 1220. However, remember that these statistics are a general guideline and may not be completely up-to-date due to the test-optional nature recently adopted by the University. Admission decisions are made based on a comprehensive evaluation of your entire application, and there is no specific SAT score that guarantees acceptance.
