I recently took the SAT and scored a 1520. I'm thinking about applying to a few Ivy League schools, but I'm not sure if my score is good enough. Has anyone had success with a similar score? Any feedback would be helpful.
First of all, congratulations on your 1520 SAT score! That is an excellent achievement and something to be proud of. To answer your question, your score is considered to be competitive for Ivy League schools. In fact, a 1520 should fall decently within the middle 50% SAT scores for admitted students at the Ivy League institutions.
While your score may be on the lower end of the middle 50% range for some Ivies, it should not at all disqualify your application from being considered. As long as have a strong GPA and course rigor, your application should pass the initial threshold to be read. So, make sure your extracurriculars and essays are also strong, as those are the qualitative aspects of your application that hold a lot of weight, and they will ultimately be the deciding factors of your application to the Ivy League.
Best of luck!
