Hi everyone, I recently took the ACT and scored a 33. It seems like a solid score, but I'm nervous it's not enough for an Ivy League school. Do you think I should retake the test, or is a 33 ACT good enough for the Ivies? Any advice would help, thanks!
Congratulations on scoring a 33 on the ACT! That's an impressive accomplishment. A 33 ACT score is definitely competitive for Ivy League schools, as it puts you in the middle 50% at most of them. However, remember that Ivies also consider many other factors in admissions, such as your GPA, extracurriculars, and essays. If you feel you can improve your score with minimal effort, then retaking the test might be beneficial, as a 34 or 35 would help you even more than a 33. If not, your time will likely be better spent focusing on other aspects of your application. Best of luck!
