Letters of Recommendation for Ohio State

Hey guys, I'm applying to Ohio State and am slightly confused: do they require letters of recommendation? How many do they need, if any?

Ohio State University (OSU) does not require letters of recommendation for their undergraduate admissions process. However, if you believe that a recommendation letter would provide valuable context to your application, you do have the option to submit up to two. OSU recommends that you choose a teacher, counselor, or another individual who can speak to your strengths and accomplishments in an academic or extracurricular context.

Submitting a letter or two may strengthen your application, but remember that it isn't a mandatory part of the application. Since it's optional, make sure that the letter(s) you submit really adds value to your application and highlights aspects of your personality and achievements not already covered elsewhere in your application.
