UCSB Tuition: What am I Looking at?

Hey guys, I'm really interested in applying to UC Santa Barbara. I've been trying to get an idea of how much it's going to cost to attend. Can anyone help me out with the current tuition rates at UCSB? Thanks!

Hello! I can help you with the current tuition rates at UC Santa Barbara (UCSB). Keep in mind that these rates are for the 2024-2025 academic year and may be subject to change in the future.

For undergraduate California residents, the estimated annual tuition and fees are approximately $14,436.

For non-resident students (including out-of-state and international students), the annual tuition and fees are the same as for California residents, but there's an additional non-resident supplemental tuition (NRST). The NRST is $34,200 per year. This brings the total cost of tuition and fees for non-residents to about $48,636 per year.

Also, don't forget to explore financial aid options by filling out the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and researching scholarships offered both by UCSB and external organizations. This can significantly help in reducing the overall cost of attending UCSB. Good luck with your application!
