Hey all, I'm planning on starting to study for the PSAT and wanted to take a practice test to see where I stand. How long is the practice test? Should I block off a certain amount of time?
The PSAT practice test has a similar structure to the digital SAT, with the following sections:
Reading and Writing: two 32-minute modules, to complete 54 questions. You have about 71 seconds per question.
Math: two 35-minute modules, to complete 44 questions. You have 96 seconds per question, or a little over a minute and a half.
The total duration of the digital PSAT practice test is 134 minutes, to complete 98 questions. In addition to the testing time itself, you may want to allocate some extra time for breaks and any potential technical issues. I'd recommend blocking off around 3 hours in total to ensure you have enough time to complete the practice test without feeling rushed.
