BSU GPA

Hello fellow students, I'm looking into applying to Boise State University (BSU). What's the average GPA for admitted students and how important is GPA in the admission process?

Hello! Boise State University typically admits students with a range of GPAs. For the Fall 2021 incoming class, the average high school GPA for admitted students was around a 3.45. However, this is just an average, and students with GPAs both above and below this mark can still be competitive applicants.

In the admissions process, your GPA is pretty important, as it gives the admissions committee insight into your academic performance throughout high school. Boise State University has a somewhat less selective acceptance rate of around 84%, so they do take academic performance into account. That being said, BSU also considers other factors in your application, such as your extracurricular activities, test scores (if you choose to submit them), and personal statement.

Don't worry if your GPA is not exactly at the average – focus on submitting a well-rounded application, highlighting your strengths and accomplishments in both academics and extracurricular activities. Best of luck with your application to Boise State University!
