Hi everyone, I was wondering how many questions are on the SAT test? I've been doing some test prep and I want to make sure I have an accurate idea of what to expect.
Hi there! As of Spring 2024, the SAT has transitioned to a fully digital format, which has resulted in a few changes to its structure. Now, the digital SAT comprises of two main sections: Reading and Writing, and Math. The test consists of a total of 98 questions, divided as follows:
1. Reading and Writing: There are two 32-minute modules in this section, with a total of 54 questions. You'll have approximately 71 seconds to answer each question.
2. Math: This section has two 35-minute modules, containing 44 questions overall. You'll have about 96 seconds per question, or a little over a minute and a half.
The total duration of the digital SAT is 134 minutes. It's important to familiarize yourself with this new digital format and practice using official SAT practice tests or the Bluebook™ app, which allows you to preview the digital SAT and take full-length practice tests. Good luck with your test prep!
