UNM out-of-state tuition fees

Hey everyone, I'm thinking about applying to the University of New Mexico, but I can't find a clear answer on their out-of-state tuition. Can somebody help me out? Much appreciated!

Hello! The University of New Mexico (UNM) indeed has different tuition rates for in-state and out-of-state students. For the 2024-2025 academic year, the estimated annual out-of-state undergraduate tuition for UNM is $34,045. This figure does not include other expenses like housing, meals, books, and other fees. Keep in mind that tuition rates might change year-to-year, so it's a good idea to check the UNM website for updates and confirm current costs.

One tool that might help is UNM's Net Price Calculator: https://financialaid.unm.edu/coa/coa.html. The calculator takes into account total cost of attendance, from tuition and fees to room and board, as well as likely aid and loans. Keep in mind that any aid and loans from the calculator are not guaranteed, but are intended to give you a closer estimate.

Additionally, remember to explore financial aid opportunities and scholarships that UNM offers to out-of-state students, as they can significantly lower your out-of-pocket expenses. Good luck with your application!
