What's the average GPA for accepted students at Duke University?

I'm a junior and really interested in applying to Duke. Does anyone here know the average GPA of students who get accepted? Just trying to figure out where I stand compared to others. Thanks!

Duke University is known for its high academic standards and competitive admissions process. While Duke doesn't release an official average GPA for accepted students, it's helpful to look at the academic profile of admitted students to get a better understanding of what they're looking for.

According to their most recent published class profile, approximately 92% of admitted students were within the top 10% of their high school class. Although this doesn't provide a specific GPA, it suggests that the average admitted student is likely to have a high GPA, somewhere in the range of 3.8 to 4.0 (unweighted) or even higher if your school uses weighted GPAs.

Keep in mind that GPA is just one aspect of your application that Duke will consider. They have a holistic admissions process, meaning they'll also evaluate your standardized test scores (when applicable), extracurricular activities, essays, and other factors. It's important to concentrate not only on maintaining a strong GPA but also on showcasing your unique talents, experiences, and contributions to your community.

Best of luck as you prepare your application for Duke!
