Help finding Penn State's location?

I'm interested in applying to Penn State but I have yet to find out where it's actually located. If anyone could help me better understand the location and what to expect around the campus, that'd be great!

Penn State, officially known as Pennsylvania State University, is primarily located in University Park, which is a part of State College in Centre County, Pennsylvania. It's about a 3-hour drive from Philadelphia and a 3.5-hour drive from Pittsburgh, offering a mix of urban and rural environments.

State College is often described as a classic college town that's lively and engaging on and around campus. While it's not located in a major metropolitan area, there are still plenty of amenities, restaurants, shops, and entertainment options in the vicinity. The town is known for its community events, outdoor recreation opportunities (such as nearby parks, hiking trails, and a ski resort), and strong support for the university's athletic teams.

Overall, Penn State's location in University Park provides a welcoming and vibrant college experience with an emphasis on academics, extracurricular activities, and involvement in the community.
