Emory University SAT score requirements?

Hey everyone! I'm planning to apply to Emory University, but I want to make sure my SAT score is within their requirements. Does anyone know the average or range of SAT scores that Emory typically admits? I want to make sure I'm on the right track. Thanks!

Emory University is a highly selective institution, and while there's no strict SAT score "requirement," you'll want to be competitive with the scores of other admitted students. For Emory's Class of 2025, the middle 50% range of SAT scores was between 1420 and 1540. This means that 50% of admitted students scored within that range, with 25% scoring below 1420 and 25% scoring above 1540.

Aiming for a score within or above this range could increase your chances of being admitted to Emory. However, don't forget that Emory, like many other selective universities, has a holistic admissions process. While your SAT score is an important component in your application, they also consider other factors such as your GPA, course rigor, extracurricular activities, essays, and letters of recommendation. It's essential to have a strong overall application, in addition to a competitive SAT score.

Keep in mind that, as of the 2024-2025 application cycle, Emory is still test-optional, meaning you can choose not to submit an SAT or ACT score if you feel it doesn't accurately represent your academic ability. However, if you have a strong SAT score within the range I mentioned, it could help your application and demonstrate your academic potential. Good luck!
