Hello! I'm currently looking into California State University Sacramento as a potential college choice. Does anyone have information on the GPA requirements for admission? I just want to get a better idea of my chances. Thanks!
Hello! Within the California State University system, including at CSU Sacramento, the minimum high school GPA requirement for California residents is a 2.50 on a 4.0 scale. For non-California residents, the minimum GPA requirement is slightly higher, at 3.0.
However, keep in mind that meeting the minimum GPA requirement does not guarantee admission, while being below the minimum doesn't always mean you'll be rejected - your application could still be considered, on a case-by-case basis. Ideally, you'll have a GPA that's well above the minimum, and also be able to demonstrate your strengths in other areas, like meaningful extracurricular involvements, especially if your GPA isn't quite up to the benchmark.
I hope this overview helps! Good luck with your application!
