Which are the largest colleges in Indiana worth considering?

Hi everyone, I'm starting to create my college list and I'm focusing on Indiana. I'd like to get a feel for the largest colleges in the state. Can anyone recommend some that I should definitely check out, or share your experiences attending these schools?

Sure, here are some of the largest colleges in Indiana that are worth considering:

1. Indiana University Bloomington (IU Bloomington): It's the flagship campus of the Indiana University system, with around 40,000 students. IU Bloomington offers over 550 academic programs, including strong programs in business and music. The campus is known for its beautiful architecture and active student life, with more than 750 student organizations to join.

2. Purdue University (West Lafayette): Purdue University, located in West Lafayette, has a student population of around 38,000. It's well-known for its engineering and agriculture programs, as well as for its aviation technology programs. Purdue is also strong in other STEM fields and has a research-focused environment.

3. Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI): IUPUI is a partnership between Indiana University and Purdue University. With approximately 25,000 students, IUPUI offers a wide range of academic programs, including those from both IU and Purdue. Notable programs at IUPUI include health sciences, particularly nursing and public health, as well as engineering and more liberal arts-oriented offerings.

4. Ball State University (Muncie): Ball State, located in Muncie, is a public university with around 20,000 students. Known for its immersive learning approach, Ball State has strong programs in architecture, education, and communications. The campus is modern and vibrant, and offers numerous opportunities for involvement and engagement.

While all large and located in Indiana, each of these universities has its own unique strengths and campus culture, so you may want to visit them and speak with current students or alumni to get a better sense of which one might be the best fit for you.

Keep in mind that there are plenty of other options out there too—as you construct your college list, I'd recommend using college search engines like CollegeVine's, which allows you to filter schools according to various factors, including size and location.

Good luck!
