What SAT scores do I need for Colorado State University?

Hello, I'm planning on applying to Colorado State University and I'm curious about what SAT scores they typically expect from applicants. Is there a minimum score or an average range that admitted students usually fall in? Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Colorado State University (CSU) is test-optional for the 2024-2025 application cycle, which means that you have the choice to submit your SAT scores or not. If you decide to submit your SAT score, it can only help your application; it will not be detrimental if your score is low. If you feel that your SAT score is strong and represents your academic abilities well, you can choose to submit it.

If you'd still like an idea of what SAT scores previous applicants have had, the middle 50% SAT score range for the Fall 2023 freshman class at CSU was between 1050 and 1260. This means that 25% of admitted students scored below 1050, 25% scored above 1260, and 50% of admitted students fell within this range. Keep in mind that this is merely a reference for previous years, and being test-optional means your SAT score is not the sole determining factor in your admission.

Apart from SAT scores, CSU will evaluate your application based on factors such as your high school GPA, course rigor, extracurricular involvement, your personal statement, and other application components. Focusing on these aspects of your application will help you present a strong and well-rounded profile to the admissions committee, regardless of whether you choose to submit your SAT scores or not. Good luck!
