FSU admissions - what SAT scores do they usually look for?

I'm really interested in attending Florida State University, and I'd like to know what SAT scores they usually accept or prefer. Any idea what score I should aim for to maximize my chances at FSU?

Florida State University (FSU) evaluates applications holistically, which means your SAT scores are just one piece of your overall application. That said, it's important to aim for a competitive score to improve your chances of admission. According to the FSU website, for the Fall 2024 entering class, the middle 50% SAT scores for admitted students were between 1360 and 1470, which means 25% of admitted students scored below 1360 and 25% scored above 1470.

It's good to aim within that middle 50% range, or even higher if possible. However, keep in mind that a strong SAT score alone will not guarantee admission, as FSU will also evaluate other factors in your application, such as your GPA, extracurricular activities, and essays.

If you're still in the process of preparing for the SAT, consider aiming for a score in the upper quartile (1470 or higher) to enhance your chances. But remember, having a well-rounded application is crucial, so dedicate time to other aspects of your application as well. Good luck on your FSU application journey!
