Looking for D2 colleges in Texas with football programs

I'm a high school junior hoping to continue playing football at a Division 2 level. What are some Division 2 colleges in Texas with decent football programs? Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!

Here's a list of Division 2 colleges with football programs in Texas:

1. Angelo State University (San Angelo, TX) - The Angelo State Rams are part of the Lone Star Conference (LSC).

2. Texas A&M University-Kingsville (Kingsville, TX) - The Javelinas compete in the Lone Star Conference as well. They have a history of producing NFL players and have won conference championships in the past.

3. University of Texas Permian Basin (Odessa, TX) - The UT Permian Basin Falcons participate in the Lone Star Conference. Although relatively new to the conference, the program is slowly gaining momentum.

4. West Texas A&M University (Canyon, TX) - The West Texas A&M Buffaloes are part of the Lone Star Conference. They've had some good seasons in the past and have produced several NFL players.

5. Lubbock Christian University (Lubbock, TX) - Although Lubbock Christian doesn't have a football program currently, they are planning to establish a Division II program by 2025.

As you're researching these colleges, take into account not just their success on the field, but also factors such as academics, campus culture, and financial aid to find the best fit for you.

To increase your chances of being recruited, make a highlight video showcasing your athletic abilities and reach out to college coaches expressing your interest in their programs. Moreover, participating in summer football camps and showcases can improve your skills and connect you with the coaches.

Good luck with your search, and I hope you find the perfect school to continue your football journey and academic career!
