Division 2 Baseball Schools in Florida

Hello all! So, my passion is baseball and I'd love to continue playing in college, particularly at a D2 school. Can anyone provide insight on the top D2 baseball schools in Florida?

Sure, I can help you with that! Florida boasts several Division II colleges with strong baseball programs. Here are some of the popular ones to consider:

1. University of Tampa: This university has a national reputation for their strong baseball team. They've repeatedly secured the NCAA Division II National Championship title and offer a competitive playing environment.

2. Nova Southeastern University: The NSU Sharks are recognized for their strong showing in the Sunshine State Conference. They've been to the College World Series and even took the title home a few years back.

3. Florida Southern College: The Moccasins of Florida Southern have a long history of championship dominance in the Sunshine State Conference as well.

4. Eckerd College: While they haven't seen as much national success as some others, Eckerd’s Tritons are known for producing solid players and being competitive in conference play.

5. Lynn University: Lynn’s Fighting Knights have a history of competitive play, particularly within the Sunshine State Conference.

6. Barry University: The baseball team at Barry University, known as the Buccaneers, competes in the NCAA Division II as well and typically fields a competitive team.

7. Saint Leo University: The Saint Leo Lions have produced a consistently good team. They compete in the Sunshine State Conference and have qualified for the NCAA D2 tournament on numerous occasions.

Please do some research on each to figure out which might be the right fit for you in regards to academics, size, campus environment, etc. Reaching out to the athletic department or the coach at each school can also provide valuable insights into the team and its culture. Make sure to also take a look at the athletic and academic requirements for student-athletes at each school. Good luck with your search!
