What's the deal with junior year being so stressful?

I've heard from a lot of people that junior year of high school is the most stressful. Can anyone explain why this is the case and what I can do to manage the stress during that time?

Junior year tends to be stressful for many students because it's a crucial time in the college admissions process. During this year, you're expected to maintain good grades, participate in extracurricular activities, and start preparing for standardized tests like the SAT or ACT. Additionally, many students begin to research colleges and think about their future. It's a lot to handle, on top of an already busy schedule.

To manage the stress, I suggest breaking tasks down into smaller, manageable steps. Instead of trying to achieve everything all at once, create a timeline that outlines your priorities. For example, set aside a certain amount of time each day or week for test preparation, college research, or working on your extracurricular projects.

Don't forget to take breaks and make time for self-care, too. Surround yourself with positive and supportive people, and reach out for guidance if needed. Remember, it's okay to ask for help.
