Looking for D1 Schools with Track & Field

Hey everyone! I'm currently a junior and really into track and field. I'm hoping to compete at the D1 level in college. What are some good D1 schools with strong track and field programs? Any input would be great!

There are many excellent D1 schools with strong track and field programs throughout the country. A useful starting point is to look at the annual U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) rankings, as they rank track and field teams based on their performance both regionally and nationally. That being said, I can provide you a list of some well-known D1 schools with strong track and field programs:

1. University of Oregon: Known for its historic track and field program, Oregon consistently excels in the sport and has a state-of-the-art facility, Hayward Field.

2. University of Southern California: USC is regarded for its successful track and field program, with the team usually finishing at the top of both conference and national championships.

3. University of Florida: UF is another strong program that consistently ranks high in team rankings and sends athletes to compete at a high level.

4. Texas A&M University: Texas A&M is a powerhouse in track and field, routinely putting together elite teams that compete nationally.

5. University of Georgia: UGA has an impressive track and field program with standout athletes who regularly compete at the highest levels.

6. Louisiana State University: LSU is known for its remarkable success in track and field, with numerous championships and high placements at major events.

7. Stanford University: Stanford's track and field program has a reputation for developing top-tier athletes, with strong coaching and resources available for student-athletes.

Please keep in mind that these are just a few examples, and there are many other great D1 track and field programs out there. When choosing a college, it's essential to consider factors beyond their athletic program, such as academics, location, and overall campus culture, to ensure you find the best fit for your personal and athletic goals. Good luck in your search and your track and field journey!
