Ranking of U of Wisconsin's Mechanical Engineering Program?

I'm kind of stressed about college applications coming up, and UW's mechanical engineering program is on my list. I'm not sure how it's ranked/its reputation though; can anyone help me with that?

The University of Wisconsin-Madison's Mechanical Engineering program is highly regarded. In fact, as per the U.S. News & World Report's 2023 listings, their undergraduate mechanical engineering program is ranked 27th in the country, tying with Rice University and University of Florida. This ranking takes into consideration factors like the quality of the faculty, research activity, and the opinions of experts in the field.

Additionally, rankings are just one aspect of judging a college or program. Other factors to consider include the curriculum, faculty, research opportunities, the presence of companies at career fairs that align with your career goals, and the culture/environment of the program. You should look into all of these aspects as well before making a final decision. Furthermore, remember to evaluate how the program fits with your broader career and academic goals, rather than solely focusing on the ranking.
