Wrestling at Division II Colleges

What's up guys. Wrestling is my thing, and I'm focused on taking it to the DII college level. Can any experienced souls guide me on which DII colleges stand out for their wrestling programs? Thanks in advance.

Hello! Wrestling at the college level is definitely an exciting venture. While specific rankings can change year by year, some Division II schools have consistently strong wrestling programs.

It's often helpful to look at schools with a history of success at the NCAA Championships. Colleges like St. Cloud State University in Minnesota, Nebraska-Kearney, and Notre Dame College in Ohio have had winning records in recent years.

There are also colleges like Pitt-Johnstown in Pennsylvania and Lindenwood University in Missouri which are known for having robust wrestling programs that consistently perform well.

It's worth noting that the strength of a program doesn't solely rely on championship titles. I encourage you to also consider factors like how well the coaching style matches your own philosophy and aspirations, what kind of training and development opportunities are available, and how well you mesh with the team culture.

Don't forget the academic side of things, too. You want a school that can provide a strong education in your area of interest alongside the wrestling program.

Good luck with your college search and wrestling journey!
