Hello everyone, I'm from Ohio and hoping to stay close to home for college. I'm planning to pursue Engineering and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for the best Engineering colleges here in Ohio? Thanks in advance.

Hello there! I highly recommend taking a look at several institutions in Ohio known for their strong Engineering programs.

Firstly, Ohio State University (OSU) in Columbus offers an esteemed College of Engineering. OSU provides many disciplines including Aerospace, Biomedical, Chemical, and Computer Engineering, among others. The university benefits from its location in the state's capital, which provides various internship and job opportunities for students.

Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) in Cleveland also has an excellent Engineering program. Specialties include Biomedical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Electrical and Computer Engineering, among others. CWRU is renowned for their research and have numerous partnerships with hospitals and research institutions in the Cleveland area that provide students the opportunity to supplement their classroom learning with practical experience.

Furthermore, the University of Cincinnati (UC) is also an excellent choice. UC's College of Engineering and Applied Science offers co-op programs that can give you a practical understanding of your chosen field and often leads to full-time job offers after graduation. Fields of study include Aerospace, Architectural, and Biomedical Engineering, among others.

Lastly, the University of Dayton (UD) might be worth checking out. UD’s School of Engineering offers an innovative hands-on education and stresses ethical ways to make a difference in society.

Remember, the best school for you can often come down to factors beyond the ranking, such as the location and campus culture. Do visit these colleges if you can, to get a feel of the environment you'll potentially be studying in. Good luck!
