Acceptance at California State University Los Angeles

Hello everyone. Been considering California State University LA for my further studies. But, I'm not sure about their acceptance rate. How easy/difficult is it to get into this university?

California State University Los Angeles (CSULA) is considered a less selective institution, with an acceptance rate around 87%. This rate does fluctuate slightly from year to year. It's important to keep in mind that acceptance rates offer just one picture of your chances of admission.

When applications are reviewed, several factors come into play. CSU Los Angeles will look at your GPA and the rigor of your high school coursework. As a CSU, CSULA is test-blind and does not consider SAT or ACT scores in their admissions process. You'll also need to meet subject requirements for high school coursework, often referred to as 'a-g' requirements in the California state system. These are specific classes you're required to take in high school to be eligible for admission.

Your personal achievements, your involvement in school or community activities, and other personal circumstances can also be part of the application. Your goal should be maintaining a solid academic performance and getting involved in meaningful extracurricular activities while in high school. This would improve your chances of getting admitted to CSULA.

Don't forget to complete your application with care and check for any mistakes before you send it in to ensure it reflects your qualifications and achievements accurately. Best of luck with your application to CSULA! It could be a great fit for you.
