how much is the sat test

What's up people! So I'm preparing to register for the SAT, but I was wondering about the test fees. How much should I expect to pay? Do they charge extra if I want to send my score to more than a few colleges?

Hello! To register for the digital SAT, you'll need to pay the base fee, which is $68 as of August 2024. This fee includes four free score reports to the colleges of your choice. If you want to send your scores to more institutions beyond the initial four included in your registration, it will cost an additional $14 per college.

There are also additional fees for any changes you may make after you've registered, such as changing your test center or the date you're planning to take the test. For example, changing your test date after registering could warrant a fee of $25. Keep this in mind when you are planning your test schedule.

Remember, fee waivers are available for qualified students, which can cover the cost of the test as well as some additional services. If you think you might qualify, I recommend speaking to your school counselor for more information. I hope this information helps, and best of luck with your SAT!
