Lafayette College's Engineering Ranking

I'm really interested in Lafayette College's Engineering program, but I cannot find a lot of information about where it's ranked. Can anyone share some information about their engineering program's reputation?

Lafayette College has a well-respected engineering program, although it may not always show up in the top rankings due to its smaller size and liberal arts focus. The school emphasizes a broad-based, interdisciplinary approach to engineering education. With five Bachelor of Science degree programs in Chemical, Civil, Electrical & Computer, Environmental, and Mechanical Engineering, students get a solid foundation in engineering principles along with the ability to specialize.

As part of their engineering program, Lafayette College emphasizes small class sizes, authoring undergraduate research, and participating in hands-on laboratory experiences. These kinds of features can be more valuable than national rankings when it comes to your learning experience and post-graduation success.

Additionally, keep in mind that Lafayette College is ABET-accredited. ABET is the leading accreditation board for engineering programs, and their accreditation ensures that the program meets certain academic standards.

Remember that rankings can sometimes not fully capture the quality of a program or how well it fits with your personal educational goals. Instead of solely relying on rankings, consider factors such as faculty mentorship, undergraduate research opportunities, internship placement, and the specific courses or specialities offered. Also, feel free to reach out to the admissions office or department faculty, who would be more than willing to tell you more about the program and answer any questions.
