Seriously confused here. I took the PSAT a while ago, and I'm unsure about when and how I'll receive my scores. Anyone knows the timeline and process?
The schedule for PSAT score release typically occurs a few weeks after you take the test and varies each year. PSAT scores are usually released about 4 to 6 weeks after the test date.
The College Board will notify you by email when your scores are available to view. You'll have to log into your College Board account online to see them. If you don't have a College Board account yet, it's a good idea to create one, as it's also used for SAT registration and score reporting.
Once you're logged in, you can navigate to the online score report, which breaks down your scores in detail. This includes your total score, section scores (Evidence-Based Reading and Writing, and Math), subscores, and selection index score.
Remember that to convert PSAT scores to SAT scores, the conversion is not 1-to-1, though it is close. For example, an 1150 on the PSAT is predicted to equal a 1260 on the SAT. The PSAT is also a tool to qualify for the National Merit Scholarship program, so high scores can mean additional benefits if you're a junior.
