What's the SAT price?

Does anyone know how much it costs to take the SAT? I'm trying to figure out all my expenses in terms of testing and college applications.

The base registration fee for taking the SAT in the United States is $68 as of the 2024-2025 school year. This fee includes sending your score to up to four colleges or universities of your choice.

However, keep in mind that there can be additional costs depending on your circumstances. Any additional score reports (sent to colleges beyond the initial four) will cost $12 each. Also, if you decide to register late, there's a late fee of $34.

If you're considering taking the SAT multiple times, remember that each test administration will come with the base fee of $68.

On a side note, if you're concerned about the cost, be sure to look into fee waivers provided by the College Board. Qualified students can receive waivers to cover the cost of the SAT, which can significantly decrease your testing expenses. Check with your school counselor to discuss if you'd be eligible.
