ASU Acceptance Rates and Tips

I've been researching colleges recently and ASU is high on my list for its programs. I was wondering about the acceptance rate of Arizona State University? Do they have a high acceptance or is it super competitive? Also, if anyone here got accepted, could you share what you did right? I'm just trying to increase my chances.

Arizona State University (ASU) has a relatively higher acceptance rate compared to some other universities. As of the latest data, its acceptance rate hovers at around 90%. This stat, however, doesn't mean getting into ASU is a walk in the park. It’s still important to craft a solid application to make a good impression.

Though ASU isn't as competitive as some Ivy League schools, they still seek students who have performed well academically and are involved in their communities. Your GPA should ideally be in the range of 3.4-3.7 on a weighted 4.0 scale to be considered a competitive applicant. Also, robust involvement in extracurricular activities can be game-changing. For instance, focus more on the level of achievement or leadership in few extracurriculars rather than trying to do it all.

Please note that while SAT/ACT scores are not required at ASU, a strong score can bolster your application, especially if you're aiming for scholarships. Remember, every piece of your application should be carefully thought through and presented well to increase your chances of admission. If you have more questions or concerns, consider reaching out to your admissions rep for ASU: https://admission.asu.edu/contact/undergraduate. Starting a conversation with these counselors is always a good idea.
