On the lookout for good argument essay samples

Sup everyone. I got assigned an argumentative essay and I'm not sure where to start. If anyone has any good samples or websites they could point out would be really helpful! Thanks.

Hello there! When it comes to writing an argumentative essay, it's important to know the structure and organization in addition to the strong reasoning skills required to make a convincing argument.

There are many online resources available to help provide guidance and examples, but most emphasize the typical structure of an argumentative essay: introduction (with a clear thesis statement), body paragraphs (where you present your argument and supporting evidence), counterarguments or refutation, and conclusion (tying it all together).

A few basic tips to get you started:

1. A strong argument cannot exist without a strong, concise thesis statement. It should clearly state your argument and appear in your introduction.

2. Each body paragraph should contain one idea or point of evidence that supports your thesis.

3. Depending on your essay's length, it is often a good idea to include a paragraph that acknowledges and then refutes a counter-argument.

4. The conclusion is not just a summary of your arguments. You should briefly recap your thesis and the points you made, then tie these discussions into the larger conversation about your topic.

Here's a basic outline:

I. Introduction

- Thesis Statement

II. Body Paragraph(s) (Point 1)

- Evidence

III. Body Paragraph(s) (Point 2)

- Evidence

IV. Counterargument( Refutation )

V. Conclusion

Unfortunately, I can't provide any specific essay examples here, but you can easily find some argumentative essay samples on educational websites or dedicated writing resources. Take note of how they structure their arguments, provide evidence, and refute counterarguments.

In addition to looking at samples, getting feedback is really essential to improve, so don't hesitate to ask a teacher or a classmate, or even seek out an online mentor or service. Hopefully, these pointers give you a push in the right direction. Good luck with your essay!
