Alright, so I'm considering applying early action to MIT. However, I still have a few things I'm unsure about. Anyone knows if it's restricted early action or can I apply EA to other universities?
MIT offers non-restrictive Early Action. This means you are allowed to apply to other schools Early Action, Regular Decision, or Rolling Admission. However, you cannot apply to any other private college or university in the United States under an ED or "Restrictive Early Action" plan.
Furthermore, you also need to be aware that if you get an Early Action acceptance from MIT, it does not mean you have an obligation to attend. Instead, you have until May 1 (the National Reply Date) to decide. This allows you more time to compare financial aid offers, visit campuses, and undertake all the other tasks essential to making a solid college decision.
Do remember that the Early Action deadline for MIT is in early November, so start your application process early. Good luck!
