Is Tufts Early Decision binding?

Hello! I'm thinking about applying to Tufts through their Early Decision program, but I'm not clear on whether it's a binding agreement or not. Could someone please clarify this for me? If I get accepted, am I committed to attend or can I still look at other options?

Tufts University's Early Decision (ED) program is indeed a binding agreement. If you apply ED to Tufts and are accepted, you are committed to attend and will need to withdraw all applications from other institutions. The only exception would be if the financial aid package offered by Tufts does not meet your demonstrated need, in which case you may be released from the binding commitment. Remember, applying to a college through a binding ED program should only be done if you are absolutely certain that the institution is your top choice and that you are ready to commit to attending if accepted. You also need to consider whether you are willing to accept the financial aid package they offer without the ability to compare it to other schools. Do keep in mind that violating the ED agreement by not withdrawing other applications or not attending after being accepted can have consequences, such as other institutions being notified of your breach of contract.
