Anxiety about UPenn Admission

Hey everyone, my dream is to get into UPenn. Could someone tell me what SAT scores they typically look for? Need to know the target I should set for myself. Cheers!

UPenn, like many other highly selective institutions, does not disclose an official SAT cut-off. However, to give you an idea, the average SAT score of the most recent admitted class was within the 1510-1560 range. This, however, is just the middle 50%, which means 25% of admitted students scored below 1510, and 25% scored above 1560.

It's important to remember that a strong SAT score is just one piece of the puzzle. UPenn practices a holistic admission process, which means they take into consideration other factors like GPA, rigor of your high school classes, essays, letters of recommendation, and extracurricular activities. So, while aiming for a high SAT score will certainly enhance your application, don't forget to take care of these other aspects as well.

Also, keep in mind that getting a score higher than the 25th percentile (1510) would make you a competitive candidate, but scoring near or above the 75th percentile (1560) would strengthen your application further. However, don't feel disheartened if you can't reach these scores, since many factors are evaluated in the admissions process. Good luck with your preparations!
