Required classes for senior year?

Hey everyone, I'm currently a junior, and I'm wondering what classes I should take in my senior year to maintain a strong college application. Are there any specific classes that colleges generally expect from high school seniors? I would appreciate any advice. Thanks!

Your senior year schedule should continue to reflect your commitment to academic rigor and your intellectual interests. Generally, admissions committees like to see students maintaining or increasing the level of academic challenge. That means if you've been taking honors or AP courses, try to continue in that trend for your senior year.

Colleges typically expect to see four years of English, Math, Science, Social Studies, and, if possible, the same foreign language. So if you have already completed three years in these core areas, aim for a fourth one in each. If you've been involved in any particular subject deeply, like taking lots of math and science for a STEM focus, continuing that pattern is beneficial.

For instance, if you're targeting engineering programs, taking Calculus or Physics (if not already done) would be important. Remember, the exact expectations can vary depending on the selectiveness of the colleges you are considering, so reviewing the recommended coursework on their admissions pages can provide more specific guidance.
