Hey everyone, I'm a junior in high school and I'm wondering if it's possible to get recruited by college coaches in the spring of senior year. Is there still a chance for me to get noticed or should I aim to get recruited earlier? Any advice or experiences would be appreciated!
Definitely keep your hopes up! While most recruitment happens earlier, opportunities can still arise in the spring of your senior year, especially for sports that have later recruitment periods or if a college finds they have additional needs. That said, it's wise to start reaching out to coaches and letting them know your interest as soon as possible. Build a highlight reel, attend camps, and make sure your academic records are solid. One student I advised started their recruitment process late but stayed persistent, reached out to coaches with their latest achievements, and got recruited in April of their senior year. So while it’s challenging, it's not unheard of. Just ensure you also have a plan in case sports recruitment doesn't work out!
