What GPA Do You Need for Lehigh University?

What's up guys? I'm a junior and Lehigh University is one of my top choices. I was wondering, what's the average GPA of admitted students? I know they probably look at more than just GPA but I still want to keep my grades competitive. Any info would be appreciate.

Hi there! In terms of GPA, Lehigh University attracts considerably high-achieving students. The average GPA of admitted students tends to be around the 3.87 mark on a 4.0 scale. So, you'll want to aim at or above this level to keep your academic standing competitive. Do note, higher rigor courses such as AP or IB also demonstrate academic prowess, so it may be worth considering these if it's not already part of your schedule.

However, remember that while GPA is an important component of your application profile, it's just one part of the package. Lehigh, like many other institutions, believes in a comprehensive review of applications where they also consider your extracurricular activities, teacher recommendations, personal essays, and standardized test scores (unless you opt for a test-optional application).

So, it's crucial to maintain a balanced approach in your application - impressive academics paired with an active involvement in a few extracurricular activities where you demonstrate your passions, skills, or leadership can certainly make you shine. Best of luck in your journey!
