U of Michigan SAT Scores Ranges?

Sup, guys. Wondering if anyone knows the usual SAT score range for admitted students at U of Michigan? Trying to figure out if it's a realistic choice for me given my current scores. I'm aiming for a rigorous engineering major, if that helps to narrow it down!

Hi there! Absolutely, I can help with that. Remember that these are ranges and being within the middle 50% range does not necessarily mean acceptance is likely nor does being out of range mean rejection is a given. Final decisions are based on the holistic whole of your application. That being said, for the University of Michigan, the middle 50% SAT range for admitted students typically falls between around 1350 to 1530.

However, specific to the College of Engineering, the scores can run a bit higher because of the competitive nature of the program. A good score for engineering might be around the 75th percentile mark or higher, which is roughly a 1530 or higher. However, remember that SAT scores are only one part of your application; things like your grades, coursework, essays, and extracurriculars will also play a key role. You might aim to have your academics and SAT scores as high as possible, but don't neglect showcasing your interest and experience in engineering through your extracurriculars and essays. That will give you a well-rounded application.
