Recommendations for SAT study resources

Hey! So the SAT is creeping up on me and I know there's a lot I need to have at my fingertips, but is there a reliable formula sheet for the SAT that has all the necessary math formulas? Hope someone can help!

Hello there! Yes, the CollegeBoard provides an official SAT Math reference guide that comes on the actual test day. This guide includes arithmetic topics like adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and basics of fractions and percentages. It also includes algebraic, complex number, geometric, and trigonometric formulae.

However, while these are given to you, they're not explained in detail and the applications are not provided. Therefore, it's still crucial that you fully understand when and how to use them.

Taking practice tests can also be useful. CollegeBoard, the organization that administers the SAT, offers free, full-length practice tests online. These tests will provide a clear picture of what to expect, and it'll help you apply your knowledge of the given formulas.

As for the study resources, the Khan Academy offers free resources where you'll find detailed explanations about these formulas along with their application. The platform closely collaborates with the College Board to ensure their materials mirror what the SAT will be testing. Consequently, it's a highly recommended choice by many students.

It's important to focus critically on your weak areas—whether that's in Math, Reading, or Writing. Start by identifying those areas and gradually start practicing those questions to improve. Good luck with your preparation!
