Besides Berklee, which is fantastic, consider looking into the Thornton School of Music at USC. They offer a variety of music programs and have strong industry connections, which could be invaluable for your career. My child had some friends who went there and they've had only positive things to say about the hands-on experience and the opportunities to collaborate with fellow music enthusiasts.
Also, don’t forget about the Eastman School of Music in Rochester and the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University. Both have stellar reputations and a strong focus on performance and composition. Lastly, Oberlin Conservatory of Music is known for a more liberal arts approach to music education, which could be beneficial if you want a well-rounded college experience.
