Hello guys! I really want to get into UF, but I'm unsure about what SAT scores they're looking for. I've done some prep but knowing the score goal would help me strategize some more. Thanks in advance for the advice!
The University of Florida does not publish an explicit SAT score cutoff for admission, but the middle 50% SAT score range for admitted students provides a good benchmark of the scores typically accepted. For the freshman class admitted in 2023, the middle 50% SAT range was between 1350 and 1490.
This means that 25% of accepted students scored below 1350, and 25% scored above 1490. Optimally, you would want to aim for a score in this range or higher in order to be competitive. However, remember that while test scores form an important part of your application, universities also consider your GPA, extracurricular activities, essays, and letters of recommendation.
In the case of UF, the school does also consider demonstrated interest in their admissions process which you can show by attending online admissions events, and by showing your fit for the school in your application essays. Make sure you equally dedicate time to these aspects of your application. Best of luck!
