What do accepted students at USF typically look like in terms of stats and ECs?

Hey fellow applicants, just trying to gauge my chances for the University of South Florida (USF). Could anyone share what the accepted student profile looks like? Specifically, what kind of GPA, test scores, and extracurricular activities are they looking for?

Hey there! I'm glad to see you're doing your research on USF. When it comes to GPA, they tend to look for strong academic performers. The middle 50% of admitted students have GPAs ranging from about 4.0-4.6 when weighted. Now, for test scores, students in the middle 50% usually have SAT scores between 1170 and 1330 or ACT scores from 25-30.

As for extracurriculars, USF, like many schools, values a well-rounded or 'spike' profile where students show deep commitment and leadership in a few activities rather than a long list of superficial involvements. Participating in community service, holding a leadership position in clubs, or demonstrating talent in the arts or athletics could all be beneficial. Remember that these are just averages and there's room for variation. If your scores or ECs are a bit off these marks, don’t get discouraged – individual strengths can make a difference too.
