So, some argue that athletes should receive a share of revenues, given the financial benefit they contribute and the sacrifices they make.

However, another perspective acknowledges that although college sports may be profitable, not all sports generate equal revenue. For instance, college football and basketball programs are often highly profitable, while other sports might operate at a financial loss. If colleges began paying athletes, there could be a significant wage gap between different sports, creating inequity.
