What's the average SAT score for U Michigan?

Hey everyone! I've been grinding my SAT books and am just curious about typical scores for UM. Does anyone know what the average SAT score is for accepted students at the University of Michigan?

The University of Michigan (UMich) is renowned for its selectivity and academic rigor. For the 2024-2025 admissions cycle, standardized tests like the SAT are not required, but optional to submit. The most recently reported middle 50% range for SAT scores for admitted students at UMich is between 1350 and 1530. That means that 25% of students scored below 1350, and 25% scored above 1530. The scores are based on a 1600 scale.

However, remember that scores are just one aspect of a holistic review process. Other components of your application like your essays, extracurriculars, letters of recommendation, and course rigor are also critical in admissions decisions. It's beneficial to aim for scores within or above this range, but also to strengthen other areas of your application.

Keep grinding and best of luck with your SAT studies!
